After Run Detox: Hot Lemon Water |
I am back in North London now so decided to do my run around Hampstead Heath.
I woke up at 8am. The weather was a bit meh so I briskly walked to Hampstead Heath, this was my warm up.
I ran for 4 minutes and walked for 1 minute and I repeated this 6 times. I also tried running up a hill but did this for 2 minutes and thought I was going to pass out so I stopped.
I ran most of the circuits around the Heath and then started running home. I then stretched and walked the rest of the journey home (about 10 minutes) as part of my cool down.
My mum told me that one of the best detoxes after running is a mug of hot water with fresh lemon and it did make me feel refreshed and rehydrated.
I am planning my next run for Thursday and I am aiming for a 5 minute run and between 30 seconds - 1 minute walk, I will try and repeat this 6 times.
