Today I competed in my 2nd Parkrun and Jon did his first one! We joined the Finsbury Park team for their Saturday morning 5K and it was really tough.
It was as windy as our previous run and we didn't quite anticipate how hilly Finsbury Park is. We were absolutely shattered afterwards.
Jon dashed off and managed to do the race in just over 25 minutes which I was hugely impressed with. I didn't do quite as well as I did in my first parkrun.
My final time was: 00.30.07
I finished in 220th place and was the 72nd female to cross the finish line.
I came 6th in my age category.
I was a little bit unhappy with this time because I had added nearly 40 seconds to my time BUT the course was very different to the one I had done in Northamptonshire. Hopefully, I will be able to do a lot better in the next one, especially as I now know the course.
