Worryingly the Evening Standard has started to prepare London for marathon day...
30th March

As it rained on Sunday, Jon and I decided to do our long run on Monday morning... at 7am... before Jon had to go to work and I had a dentist appointment...
It was surprisingly pain free. Getting up at 7am on a Spring morning was actually quite lovely and being able to run around London whilst it is reasonably quiet was a treat.

We found a parkland walk along an old railway track and planned a route along that walk, through Highgate Woods and up to Alexandra Palace and back again. I am not entirely sure how far we ran - my guess would be around 8 miles and it took us roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were aware of getting back and having enough time to get ready for work / dentist.

Like the previous run, my ankles and right knee felt particularly weak and I think it is important that I try running with some supports prior to marathon day.
Route to Ally Pally
